The Sibionics GS1 continuous glucose monitoring system is intended for use in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes from 3 years of age. The GS1 CGM system has clinically proven accuracy i enables therapeutic decisions to be made based on sensor readings, including insulin dosing*.

Warnings and safety information:
Before using the SIBIONICS GS1 App for your smartphone (hereinafter referred to as the smartphone app), the SIBIONICS GSW App for your smartwatch (hereinafter referred to as the smartwatch app), and the SIBIONICS GS1 glucose monitoring system (hereinafter referred to as the GS1 CGM system), read all instructions and leaflet. Smartwach is a separate product that can be purchased in selected countries. The instructions for use shall contain all safety information and instructions for use. Consult your doctor about how to use information from the system to help manage diabetes.
Failure to follow the instructions for use of the GS1 CGM system may lead to overlooking very low or very high glucose levels and making a therapeutic decision inadequate to the patient’s health. If the results obtained with the system do not correspond to the symptoms and/or expected values, measure the glucose concentration with a glucose meter by pricking the fingertip and on this basis make a decision on treatment.
If necessary, consult a doctor.
The system can replace a blood glucose test, except in the following situations. These are situations when we perform a blood glucose test in order to make decisions related to the treatment of diabetes – then the readings from the sensor may not accurately reflect the actual blood glucose concentration:
- No value and/or no arrow
- Do a blood glucose test if you think your sensor glucose readings are abnormal or do not match your well-being. Do not ignore symptoms that may be caused by low and/or high glucose levels.
Using the GS1 CGM system in such situations can lead to wrong decisions regarding the treatment of diabetes. Read the chapter “13. Treatment decisions” in this document.
