FreeStyle Libre 3 technology will provide continuous readings of glucose concentration in real time, automatically transferring them to smartphones every minute, 14-day accuracy in the smallest and thinnest sensor design.

With a 14-day runtime, the FreeStyle Libre 3 includes the most durable self-assembly CGM sensor available. The sensor is easy to apply with a one-piece applicator and is worn on the back of the arm, eliminating the need for frequent finger punctures to check glucose levels.

Thanks to the smallest and thinnest glucose sensor, FreeStyle Libre 3 users can discreetly and conveniently check their glucose levels at any time.

The FreeStyle Libre 3 system fits seamlessly into the lives of people with diabetes. In addition to the sensor, the system includes the FreeStyle Libre 3 mobile app, which allows users to record and display their glucose levels in real time, glucose level history, and trend arrows showing changes in glucose levels on the phone screen.

FreeStyle Libre has been clinically proven to improve glycemic control, prolong time in the target glucose range, reduce hyperglycemia time (high glucose levels) and hypoglycemia (low glucose levels), improve HbA1c (average glucose levels over three months) – all factors affecting better health outcomes.

How does it work?

Which Android phones are supported by the FreeStyle Libre 3 app? Although Apple products seem to be generally supported. The only Android devices that have been indicated by Abbott as supporting this application are Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, S10, A40, as well as Google Pixel 5 with Android operating system version 10 or 11, for the current version of the application today. This does not mean that many smartphones with the Android operating system are officially supported, and you should certainly check this before making a purchase.

The sensor does not work with the Libre Link app. The Freestyle Libre 3 sensor has smaller dimensions than the Freestyle Libre 1 and 2 – pay attention to this when choosing accessories.
