Sulphur mechanism for fungal diseases:

• Contact action – sulfur does not penetrate the plant, but forms a protective layer on its surface that prevents the development of pathogens.
• Inhibition of spore germination – released sulphur fumes interfere with the germination process of fungal spores, which prevents their further development.
• Disruption of fungal metabolic processes – sulfur affects enzymes and proteins of fungi, which weakens their cellular structures and leads to growth inhibition.
