The Breville Edge electric kettle has a Still Hot - backlight function that changes color from white to red in boiling mode to indicate the progress of boiling water.
When the kettle is turned on, the water level window will light up in red – the redder the color becomes, the closer it is to the boiling point.
After boiling, the kettle remains illuminated in red until the water temperature drops below 80°C, so you know that your water is still hot and you can prepare another portion of a warm drink. When the temperature drops below 80°C, the backlight will turn off.
