An inorganic soil improver made from ground volcanic rock. It is a natural product that supports plant growth by improving the physico-chemical properties of the soil. Basalt meal increases water retention and at the same time prevents the phenomenon of excessive acidification of the substrate. In addition, it contains nutrients needed by plants, m.in. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The agent can be used in the cultivation of all species of vegetable, fruit and ornamental plants (including lawns). Recommended especially for light or too concise soils, as well as those with too low pH.

Method of use

Spread the agent evenly on the surface of the soil, then mix with it to a depth of 10-15 cm. Use on windless days to avoid spraying the agent in space. The product can be used throughout the growing season, but the preferred period is early spring or autumn. For soil pH < 5,5, the dose of the agent can be increased by 5-10%.

Vegetable plants

Use before sowing seeds or seedling plants:

• once every four years at a dose of up to 2-3 kg/10 m² or

• systematically once a year at a dose of 0,4-0,5 kg/10 m²

Orchard plants

• before planting an orchard / plantation – spread the agent on the soil and mix to a depth of about 15 cm. It can also be used “in holes” for planted plants; recommended dose of 2-3 kg/10 m²

• in an existing orchard/plantation – spread the agent on the soil surface in strips about 1 m wide along rows of plants or individually around plants, within a radius of about 1,5 m; recommended dose of 0,5-1 kg/10 m²

Ornamental plants

• before planting – in spring spread 1,5-2 kg of the agent per 10 m2 and mix with the soil to a depth of 5-10 cm; in such a prepared substrate plant plants, and then water abundantly

• perennial plants – use in early spring at a dose of 0,5 kg/10 m² of growing area, then mix with the soil and water abundantly.

Lawns

• before setting up the lawn – evenly spread the agent on the surface of the future lawn at a dose of 2-3 kg/10 m² and mix to a depth of 5-10 cm with the soil; then level, sow the grass and water.

• on the existing lawn – mow the grass and evenly spread the product at a dose of 1 kg/10 m², then water abundantly.
