The Acqua di Parma brand was founded in 1916 in the center of the old town of Parma, which at that time was also the center of the aristocratic culture of Giuseppe Verdi and Stendhal. In the local small perfume manufacture, a qualified master created with a great sense of modern trends cologne with a light and fresh scent, which differed significantly from the strong, almost aggressive scents of the time. Thanks to this sophisticated alchemy, cologne was an instant success and became the most popular fragrance in the period from the 30s to the 50s. In the early 60s there was a turnaround and the market was flooded with various scents of other manufacturers that competed with each other. Acqua di Parma decided to continue production, and its brand was based on a long tradition and the fact that Acqua di Parma perfumes are created by real experts. Historically, this cologne has become almost iconic in certain social circles.
