It is used to measure the thickness of the car paint layer on steel, galvanized steel and aluminum substrates. It is ideal for checking cars if they have not been painted or putty twice.
The paint thickness gauge is also known by other names such as: paint tester, paint sensor, thickness gauge, paint coating thickness gauge, coating thickness meters, paint gauge, automotive paint thickness gauge, paint thickness tester, paint thickness tester, paint thickness gauge.
Extensive version of the MGR-13-S-AL meter. The DX series meter features a pressure probe that makes it easy to measure and increased resolution (see photo next).
It is placed on a flexible cable. To make the measurement, apply the measuring probe to the test surface, it should be done perpendicularly slightly pressing. In less than a second we will get the measurement result on the display.
Illuminated in three colors display:
- Green background - suggests original lacquer
- Orange background - suggests two coats of varnish
- Red background - suggests putty
The DX-13-S-AL paint meter automatically measures surfaces made of:
- Standing
- Galvanized steel
- Aluminium
