How to properly set up a bicycle for a child?

In order for the child to use the bike safely and comfortably, I suggest paying attention to two key aspects:

1. Leg length (most important for the saddle): Measure the length of the inner side of the leg (from the crotch to the floor). To keep the ride safe, the child should be able to put his whole feet flat on the ground, sitting on the saddle, with his knees slightly bent. If the child is very beginner, set the saddle so that the feet stand firmly on the ground with slightly bent legs – this will facilitate repulsion.
2. Height of the steering wheel: The steering wheel should be set at chest level or slightly higher (at the height of the child's elbows when the hands are slightly bent). It should not be too high so that the child does not have problems with control, nor too low so that it does not force an inclined figure that makes it difficult to maintain balance.

Hint: The Bixe bike is equipped with fasteners (clamps) at the saddle and handlebar. Thanks to this, you do not need any tools for adjustment – you can adjust the height to the needs of your child at any time, even during a walk, when he feels more confident.
