• GL-PRO-2-FAZ - measurement on steel sheets (also galvanized) and aluminum sheets (automatic material recognition). On the display we receive information whether the element is aluminum, steel or galvanized steel.

GL-PRO series meters are solutions based on modern 32-bit processors, thanks to which a fast and accurate measurement was obtained using a 12-bit converter.

The meters use an innovative design of the measuring probe, which allows point measurement on steel, galvanized steel and aluminum sheets, automatically recognizing the tested material and informing on the display about the type of material. The probe is spring-suspended, terminated so-called. ball.

The distinguishing feature of the GL-PRO-2-FAZ meter is the automatic recognition of whether the steel sheet is covered with a layer of zinc or whether it is ungalvanized. This is important when measuring on the car – it will reveal to us which body parts were replaced with cheaper ungalvanized ones.

It is a solution used in the most expensive meters. It allows you to measure and stop it, so that we can move the meter away from the test surface and read the measurement. The HOLD function can be disabled from the MENU, then we have the ability to measure continuously.

The meter has a calibration function on thickness standards (included in the set).

It is especially useful when measuring with the HOLD function enabled. After the measurement, the meter informs us about this fact with a short beep.

From the MENU you can choose one of three languages: Polish, English and German.

Built-in memory 960 measurements allows you to freely view measurements after the measurement activities. Memory does not delete when the device is turned off or the battery is removed

Thanks to the use of modern design, this meter is very economical. Two so-called power supply is enough. Alkaline "fingers". The working time on such a battery reaches up to several hours of continuous operation.

There is a battery level indicator on the meter display. Thanks to the indicator, we will not be surprised by a discharged battery and we can replace it in advance.

Operation is carried out using a 4-button keyboard and an additional trigger, the pressing of which causes illumination of the measuring place.

The meter has a color, easy-to-read LCD display with a diagonal of 1,8 inches, on which the following are displayed:

• "DOUBLE LAK. " - second coat of varnish (yellow scale)
• "SPATULA" - putty element (red scale)

It should be noted that the MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT® function is only to help in the interpretation of measurements, it cannot be the basis for an unambiguous answer to the question whether the car had sheet metal and varnish repairs. Nevertheless, many people who evaluate cars do not really know what a given paint thickness means, which is why the above function is to help in this.

This makes it easier to evaluate the car, as it is often replaced with entire damaged components with ungalvanized replacements.

ATTENTION! There are cases that the meter did not detect zinc on the steel sheet used in the replacement despite the manufacturer’s declaration that the sheet metal is galvanized. On the same element but the original galvanized was detected. This is an additional advantage of the meter, because it is easier to detect an accident car.
