FineVu GX4K is a 2-channel video recorder equipped with two cameras that can record both front and rear images simultaneously. The “Auto Day & Night Vision / Auto WDR” feature allows the FineVu GX4K recorder to record clear and balanced videos in challenging lighting conditions such as night, underground parking lots, dark streets, tunnels, as well as very bright daylight. The intelligent AI system analyzes ambient lighting and ensures optimal video quality by automatically tuning image parameters (brightness, contrast, ISO, EV, etc. ) in all conditions, including during the day and during rapidly changing lighting, e.g. during the departure from a dark tunnel or underground car park into strong sunlight and vice versa. Auto Day & Night Vision (Auto WDR) is effective at night and in places with a large contrast difference where it is difficult to identify details (e.g. an overexposed or underexposed license plate). It is also useful during daytime driving, allowing you to record videos more clearly in adverse lighting conditions.

VIDEO CACHING - AN IMPORTANT FUNCTION WHEN DETERMINING THE PERPETRATOR OF AN EVENT

Continuous video caching is a very important feature that only the best Premium DVRs usually have. Before the video image from both cameras is saved on the memory card, it is stored for a while in the internal memory of the recorder (buffer). When the sensors detect an event (impact, movement) while driving or stationary, a buffer video will be saved on the memory card, which includes a time of 10 seconds “backwards” before and 10 seconds after the event occurs. Recording a situation that was on the road a few seconds before the event occurred can be helpful in disputed cases when determining the perpetrator. An example would be driving to the back of another car. A recorder without a video buffer will record this event from the moment it hits the vehicle, or even with a slight delay. However, it is not always the culprit during such an event that the driver who drove into the back of another car is guilty, because he could have been pushed there by another traffic participant. The FineVu GX4K recorder will record the situation that was on the road 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the collision of vehicles. In such a 20-second evidence recording, no detail will be omitted. Video caching works while driving, stopping, and recording manually.

IDEAL SOLUTION FOR LONG DRIVING AND STOPPING

The FineVu GX4K car camera is equipped with Time Lapse mode, which maximizes recording performance. RELIABLE PARKING LOT MONITORING WITH ADVANCED FEATURES

The FineVu GX4K video recorder is equipped with a technically advanced parking mode that works with motion detection systems (front and rear) and a three-axis accelerometer (G-sensor) that detects shocks, impacts and overloads. This allows the GX4K to be used as an effective vehicle monitoring device at a standstill, which will perform recordings confirming vandalism, crashes or attempted theft of equipment. Parking mode is automatically switched on 30 seconds after the vehicle ignition switch is switched off. Recording of 20-second videos is triggered whenever body shock and/or movement is detected in the lenses of both cameras. With video caching, recordings contain more important evidence that could have occurred up to 10 seconds before the event occurred. Videos are saved in a separate folder so that they are not lost by overwriting with newer recordings. The user can individually configure many Parking mode functions, e.g.: turn on/off detected motion, set the sensitivity of shock and motion sensors, set the video quality and battery protection against discharge, and choose one of three methods of operation and recording in parking mode

LOW POWER CONSUMPTION - EXTENDED PROTECTION TIME OF THE VEHICLE DURING STANDSTILL

A holiday, business trip or other long absence? FineVu will take care of your car. The "Low Power Consumption" option (original name "Power Saving") is one of several methods of parking mode, which is equipped with the FineVu GX4K recorder. With this very energy-efficient option, the recorder takes approx. from the vehicle battery. 98% less energy than standard parking mode. Parking mode starts 30 seconds after the vehicle ignition switch is turned off. Since then, shock and motion detection in the frame of both cameras has been active for 60 seconds. After a minute, the recorder goes into an energy-saving variant "Low Power Consumption", which in standby mode powers only the shock-overload sensor (G-sensor). Motion detection and other recorder systems are switched off, thanks to which the current consumption during standstill drops to the value of approx. 5 mA. If the G-sensor detects a shock or impact on the vehicle body, the recorder "wakes up" from standby and begins recording this event by both cameras. The recording time of each event is 20 seconds after the G-sensor is activated. Then, for another 60 seconds, ambient surveillance is activated with the detection of moving objects in the front and rear camera frames along with their recording in case of detection (e.g. escape of the perpetrator of the incident). After this time, the recorder again switches to standby with very low power consumption. Thanks to this option, FineVu GX4K can stand ready to record bruises and other body damage during standstill for up to 2325 hours, i.e. more than 3 months (the presented operating times were achieved using the same auxiliary battery with a capacity of 16000 mAh).

DO NOT BE AFRAID OF DISCHARGE OF THE BATTERY IN PARKING MODE

If during a parking mode stop the vehicle battery voltage falls below the value set in the application, FineVu GX4K will automatically detect this drop and cut off the power supply (the recorder will turn off) to protect the battery from further discharge.

The value of the battery voltage below which the recorder will be switched off can be set in the range of 11.6-12.2V for cars with 12V installation and in the range of 23.2-24.4V for vehicles with 24V installation. The FineVu GX4K video recorder, as one of the few on the market, also has a third range of 12.8-13.4V off voltage setting, which is designed for hybrid cars equipped with an on-board electrical system with increased voltage (over 13V after turning off the engine, e.g. some Hyundai, Kia) hybrids or with ISG (Idle Stop & GO)* system. There is also an option "Auxiliary battery", used when powering the recorder from a separate battery or powerbank. Regardless, it is also possible to limit the duration of the parking mode in the range of 3-48 hours, after which the recorder will turn off. You can also choose the energy-efficient parking mode option "Low Power Consumption" with very low power consumption from the vehicle battery (approx. 5 mA).

Winter setting – more effective protection of the vehicle battery during winter. This function in the winter months increases the set shutdown voltage of the recorder by 0,2V. Thanks to this, the recorder in parking mode will turn off earlier to more effectively protect the vehicle battery from deep discharge in more difficult winter conditions (e.g. if the voltage of 11,8V is set, then in winter the recorder will turn off at 12,0V). The winter setting works according to the internal calendar.

CONTINUOUS PROTECTION OF THE VEHICLE AT A STANDSTILL EVEN ON THE HOTTEST DAYS

The FineVu GX4K is designed to efficiently dissipate heat from the inside of the housing. In addition, it has a built-in intelligent (Ai) overheating protection system, thanks to which the recorder does not stop protecting the vehicle even on the hottest days. At very high temperatures, the standard thermal protections used in most other car cameras turn off the power to protect the device from damage due to overheating. As a result, such a video recorder ceases to be ready to record events and the vehicle remains without any protection during further standstill. However, this does not apply to FineVu GX4K. If the temperature rises significantly during the operation of the recorder in the standard (full) parking mode with motion detection, then the device will not be turned off, only automatically switch to further operation in the energy-saving parking mode with very low power consumption and low operating temperature. Thanks to this, the FineVu GX4K is always, even on the hottest days, ready to detect impacts and record damage to the vehicle during standstill.

ADAS Plus - SYSTEMS SUPPORTING SAFE DRIVING

ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) are advanced driver assistance systems that help improve driving and safety with the sound warnings generated. All functions can be turned on or off.

FVMA Assistant (Front Vehicle Motion Alert) – When the car is standing at an intersection, in front of a red light or in traffic jam, the FVMA assistant monitors the area in front of the car and informs the driver with a short sound or voice that the vehicle in front has already started. This allows you to reduce the driver's response delay and improve traffic flow.

LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) Assistant – When the car leaves its lane, the LDWS assistant will detect in real time the crossing of the lane separation line and generate an audible warning. In the application, you can set the speed (60 – 80 – 100 km/h) above which the detection of belt separation lines will start to work or completely turn off the assistant.

Don't get tired or drowsy while driving! Turn on the rest assistant, and FineVu GX4K, depending on the driving time, will advise you to take a break for a short rest by voice. If you ignore this proposal and do not turn off the engine, the message will be repeated in an hour. The mechanical power switch is a simple but very convenient solution for everyday use of the device. It can be useful in a situation where we temporarily do not want to use the automatically switched on parking mode to protect the battery from discharge, e.g. during a longer car stop in the home garage. Easier and faster to turn off the recorder with a switch than to deactivate the parking mode in the smartphone application. The power switch is also a mechanical lock of the memory card slot (Smatr SD Lock), which prevents the card from being removed during operation of the device. The card can be removed from the socket only after turning off the recorder with a switch. Thanks to this, the card and saved files are protected from damage that could arise during the sudden removal of the card from the device during recording.
