The base is essential to use the Kio car seat. The Avan seat can be installed without ISOFIX base.

From birth until the child reaches 83 cm (about 15 months), you can use the Avan carrier mounted only rear-facing. They can be quickly and easily attached to the base with a single click, or attached with three-point belts of the vehicle.

In the Kio car seat, as in the Avan carrier, the child also has to travel rear-facing up to 83 cm (about 15 months), but we recommend traveling rear-facing for as long as possible, i.e. up to a height of 105 cm or about 4 years. When your little one is 16 months old, you can transport them forward-facing.

Advanced Side Protection (ASP). Integrated energy absorbers can be activated quickly and easily on the door side. In the event of a side impact, they reduce the force acting on the child.
