Parking monitoring
The camera has an extremely extensive, active parking mode allowing recording in the following modes:
- Collision detection mode - in this mode, the camera detects shocks thanks to the built-in overload sensor.
- Motion Detection Mode - The camera recognizes movement within the lens' field of view.
- Lowbitrate mode - the camera records continuously, in reduced quality, so that more recordings can fit on the memory card.
- Timelapse mode - the camera continuously records time-lapse video.
For proper operation of the parking mode, it is necessary to connect the camera to the vehicle electrical system using dedicated fixed adapters: USB-C to VANTRUE N4 N2S X4S or alternatively OBD USB-C to VANTRUE N4 N2S X4S, available separately.
Wireless remote control
Included with the camera is a wireless Bluetooth remote control that allows you to easily secure recordings, take photos, as well as turn the microphone on and off.
Control via mobile application
The remote viewing option will also be helpful for optimal camera positioning in the vehicle.
Dedicated PC application
Thanks to the Vantrue Player application, we can easily play camera recordings on your computer. We have access to the current location of the vehicle, as well as its speed. The application also calculates the average and maximum speed, and displays the recorded overload. The application for Windows and Mac OS can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website.
High quality rear camera
The camera has a rear module, which is characterized by equally good image quality as the front camera! On the back is the same as the front, an excellent Sony STARVIS IMX335 sensor, the viewing angle is a wide 160 degrees, and the lens brightness is F/1.8. The video recorder is therefore recommended to everyone who cares about high-quality recordings on the rear of the vehicle.

- The WiFi module does not remain active and must be manually re-enabled after each restart if you wish to use it.
- The application is available in Polish .
- vantrue e2 car camera app

- Possibility to disable recording of the current vehicle speed in the video recording.
- The GPS module is also an active mounting bracket.
Parking mode
The recorder is equipped with an active, automatic parking mode function. There are three parking mode variants to choose from:
1) Collision detection - after approx. 5 minutes after stopping, the camera turns off and only responds to shocks. When a shock is detected, it turns on and starts recording. Possibility to adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity in 5 levels. While the mode is active, the screen will be blank. When a shock is detected, an icon representing a vehicle collision will be displayed on the screen and a file will be recorded. If the shaking stops, the camera will turn off the screen and continue to detect shaking. The bitrate of the file saved after shock detection will be limited to approx. 5Mbps. Shock detection mode recordings will be saved in the "Normal" folder, but the name will end with "P_A", instead of "N_A" in regular recordings
2) Motion detection - after approx. 5 minutes after stopping, the camera stops recording, but remains active and resumes recording when motion is detected. Motion detection has 3 sensitivity levels. Motion detection recordings have the same bitrate as classic recordings. Motion detection recordings will be saved in the "Normal" folder, but the name will end with "P_A", instead of "N_A" in regular recordings. When active motion detection is active, a moving figure symbol will be displayed on the screen. Motion detection works for both front and rear cameras.
3) Low bitrate - after approx. 5 minutes after stopping, the camera switches to continuous recording mode, with limited resolution. Available in 1080 and 720p at 15fps. The file bitrate will be limited to approx. 5Mbps (for front and rear camera, i.e. approx. 10Mbps for both) to allow more material to be saved on the memory card. The recording will be saved in the "Normal" folder, but the name will end with "P_A", instead of "N_A" in normal recordings. When recording in low bitrate mode, the camera icon will be displayed on the screen with the selected resolution and the text 15fps.
4) Time-lapse mode - after approx. 5 minutes after stopping, the camera switches to continuous recording mode, but at an accelerated pace. Selectable 1 / 5 / 10 / 15fps. The resulting recording will be 30fps, but the pace will be appropriately accelerated. Time-lapse mode does not impose a bitrate limit. Timelapse recordings will be saved in the "Normal" folder, but the name will end with "P_A" instead of "N_A" in regular recordings. While recording in timelapse mode, a camera icon with a clock will appear on the screen.
Parking mode requires the recorder to be connected to a constant power supply - it is recommended to use a dedicated power adapter.
Construction and assembly method
- High-resolution 2.45" LCD display with screen saver function after 30 seconds, 1 or 3 minutes.
- The recorder is mounted to the windshield using an adhesive mount with a built-in GPS module and a power connector. Alternatively, the front camera itself can be powered by connecting the power to the rear camera connector.
- The camera holder is active and has a magnetic connector. This makes mounting and dismounting the camera much easier.
- vantrue e2 camera mount
- The holder does not allow mounting on a vertical glass pane.
- There are buttons on the bottom of the camera that allow you to:
- turning off recording,
- changing which camera/cameras the image from will be displayed on the display,
- turning off sound recording,
- entering the menu.
- On the left side there is an orange button that allows you to protect recordings when pressed and turn off the device when held.
- In the lower right corner, below the screen, there is a red LED that indicates recording. You can turn it off.
Rear camera module
- The rear module is attached using a double-sided USB-C cable with straight plugs and a length of approx. 6 meters.
- If you disconnect the rear module while recording, the video recorder will switch to recording only from the front module.
- The rear module allows for attachment to an almost vertical glass, but the lens will be tilted slightly downwards.
- The rear camera has a green LED indicating connection to the main module when it is turned on. There is no way to turn it off.
Power supply type
- The recorder is powered via the USB-C socket using a 12-24V car cigarette lighter power supply and a cable approx. 3.5 meters, terminated with an angled plug.
- The included power supply, once the video recorder is connected, offers an additional, free, full-size USB port.
- Built-in capacitor for greater durability and resistance to external weather conditions. The camera also has a dedicated battery to maintain the settings, which is supposed to cope even if the camera is not turned on for approx. 2 months.
- The measured average power consumption of the recorder while recording with the LCD screen on is approx. 0.42A at 12V (approx. 5.16W). When the screen turns off, this value decreases to approx. 0.38A. After turning on the WiFi module, the consumption increases slightly and amounts to approx. 0.46A.
Temperature measurement
- The measured temperature of the front module of the device during operation, with the rear camera connected, at the hottest point, is approx. 52.9°C. Measurement made with a pyrometer after approx. one hour of continuous operation of the recording camera, with the screen on.
- The ambient temperature at the time of measurement was approx. 27°C. The temperature difference ΔT was 25.9°C.
- The rear module heated up to a maximum temperature of 36.1°C under the same conditions.
Memory card support
- Native support for Class 10 microSDHC/XC memory cards with a maximum capacity of 512GB.
- The maximum video recording time from both cameras, in the highest quality, on a 512GB memory card is approx. 18.5 hours in one loop.
- If the memory card is damaged, the camera will display the message "Memory card error" on the screen.
- We recommend using only branded and original memory cards to ensure the highest reliability of the recorder.
