It’s a shame, because thanks to it you can experience much more than just drum beats. Did you know that the low B of five-string bass vibrates at 30,9 Hz? Or that the lowest note on a concert piano vibrates at 27,5 Hz? And of course, the extended subbass makes the bass-rich genres sound fantastic.

That's the magic trick. By doubling the sound pressure at the lowest frequencies, however, we have maintained remarkable precision and balance across the entire range of subbass, mid bass and beyond. The most impressive thing is how it affects the listening experience. Stretching at low frequencies changes everything - by creating more space for sound. Can you outdo the legends?

Starting with the HD 580, Sennheiser’s high-end headphones have inspired generations with their balanced, natural reproduction. Considered audiophile audio patterns, HD 600, HD 650 and HD 660S share visible and audible DNA from HD 660S2. For example, the improved coil in the S2, now also features 300-ohm impedance of the legendary HD 600 and HD 650. The new coil also provides greater magnetic force and electrical attenuation, allowing for a cleaner impulse response.

The coil is now more flexible, allowing the resonance frequency to be lowered to 70 Hz. Much effort has also been put into optimizing the airflow around the transducer. The sensitivity is greater across the entire frequency spectrum, as the magnet air gap now works more efficiently. All in all, all this results in even greater precision, speed and resolution - with twice the acoustic pressure at the lowest frequencies.
