Working tirelessly to improve the product, the French brand has given its iconic product a whole new design while adding acoustic improvements (e.g. new M-shaped coil and grill inside the ear cups). All the exclusive technologies that make Utopia headphones such a great success are still present in the current edition, continuing to deliver sensational listening experiences with even greater sophistication and elegance.

Combining comfort and aesthetics, Utopia is an uncompromising design and concept. Forged, recycled carbon yokes have a modern and sophisticated style while providing outstanding lightness, while the honeycomb grid with Black Chrome ring shows subtle design details.

The design of the new Utopia is a combination of comfort and aesthetics

Drawing on the aesthetics of the latest Focal headphones, both open (Clear Mg) and closed (Stellia and Celestee), the honeycomb grille both on the outside and on the inside of the ear cups, gives the new Utopia a unique and original look.

In addition to their black chrome rings - now attached from the inside for a unique look - these headphones introduce new design elements that will also be used in future Utopia products from Focal. Among them, the "Yin&Yang" placed on the outer casing symbolizes the perfect balance between design and technology embodied by these headphones, as well as the black and red double grille on the transducer element.

Genuine leather headband and perforated shape memory foam ear cups - also framed in leather - provide unparalleled comfort and softness.

The best Focal technologies

Focal engineers opted for a new coil made of copper - to improve reliability - and aluminum to make it more lightweight. This alloy provides a rejuvenated sound signature that gives even more neutrality, with strong bass and more gentle highs. Moreover, the grilles inside the ear cups are now M-shaped, following the curves of the transducers to provide better linearity and even greater precision.

In addition to these innovations, the new Utopia headphones still contain everything that made the first editions as successful as full-range pure beryllium speaker drivers, M-shaped domes, and being fully open to listening to full neutrality, dynamics, and clarity. The headphones seem to completely disappear, leaving an audio signal reproduction that is unmatched in its purity.
