At the heart of the DUNU Mortise is a dynamic transducer with an ultra-thin carbon fibre membrane and independent, flexible suspension. Such a membrane combines two features usually standing in opposition: rigidity, which eliminates partition distortion, and low mass, thanks to which it reacts instantly to transients. Flexible suspension allows the membrane to move freely and linearly, which translates into natural, unforced bass and precise microdetail reproduction. The whole is driven by a high-stream magnetic circuit based on N52 magnets – the strongest neodymium class available – which provides strong control over the membrane and high dynamics.

Convenience of use and Q-Lock Mini replaceable plug system

DUNU Mortise are supplied with a four-core cable made of high purity monocrystalline copper (single-crystal copper), which minimizes signal loss and maintains transmission purity. On the headphone side, 3,5 mm connectors are used, while on the source side there is a proprietary Q-Lock Mini system – you get both a 3,5 mm (single-ended) plug and a balanced 4,4 mm plug. Thanks to this, you can connect one pair of headphones to both a laptop or phone, as well as to advanced stationary equipment with a balanced output, without having to buy separate cables. The cable with a length of about 150 cm and the included transport case complete the carefully prepared set.
