This strip is designed to strengthen the bottom and sides of a pontoon or kayak and guarantees safety using equipment on rivers and reservoirs with a rocky bank or bottom or with a large number of branches in the water. Strengthening the bottom of the pontoon increases resistance to damage up to 300%. The strip is made of flexible material and is very easy to stick even for a person who has never done it. The yield of the glue should be calculated from the settlement: 50ml of glue / 1 mb of strip.

Materials and tools:

• Protective strip – length depends on the surface of the wrapping

• It takes 10 to 12 metres to stick three protective belts to the most exposed areas (keel zone, left and right balloons).

• To fully wrap the pontoon (3 m) you need about 25 meters of strip with a width of 110 mm.

• PU-312 glue :- 50 grams per 1 meter - per 10 meters - 1 large can of glue - for full wrapping - 3 large cans of glue

• Brushes – paint, good quality (without hair loss)

• Surface cleaner and degreaser.

• Painting tape – good quality, should hold well when heating, should not leave traces of glue on the pontoon.

• Pressure roller – for sticking

• Spatulas – for point pressing

Step by step instructions:

1. Preparation of powierzchna.Oczyść and degrease the surface of the pontoon with acetone. This will ensure good adhesive adhesion.
2. Designation of places klejenia.Użyj painting tape to determine the lines of sticking the strip. Make sure the tape adheres well and leaves no traces of glue.
3. Preparation of the ochronnej.Określ strip, where the strips will be placed, and cut the material to the appropriate length.
4. Applying kleju.Dla best effect it is recommended to apply glue in two warstwach.Najpierw apply the first thin layer of PU-312 glue to both surfaces (pontoon and inner side of the strip) and let it dry on 10 to 15 minut.Następnie apply a second layer of glue and again let it dry on 10 to 15 minut.Taki process allows the acetone to evaporate completely, which increases the thermal resistance of the adhesive. If aсеton does not evaporate, the adhesive may lose adhesion at high temperatures (aсеton evaporates at 55 °C), which may lead to the elements peeling off.
5. 7. Curing kleju.Pozostaw glue for complete hardening for 24 hours.
