SUPREME carbon cartridge - block, BIG BLUE 20" type with code S-BLBB20

Carbon block for water S-BLBB20 for water reduces: chlor and its toxic substances, heavy metals, detergents, organic chemicals, pesticides. This cartridge is made of sintered activated carbon, which removes from water 98% to 99% of free chlorine, chlorine solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons (improves the taste and smell of water), and also up to 85% of pesticides of chlorinated origin, multiaromatic compounds, phenol, benzene and organic substances.

Sintered coal has a much larger specific surface area, as well as the number of active centers, thus approx. 25% higher usable efficiency for other carbon cartridges. Carbon of this type cannot filter mechanically contaminated waters with a particle diameter of more than 3 microns and waters of unknown origin, because they cause clogging of the active centers of carbon and a decrease in their filtration efficiency. The cartridge is particularly recommended for surface water treatment.

S-BLBB20 is designed for the treatment of cold drinking or general use water.

How carbon cartridge works

Water flowing into the body in which the carbon cartridge is placed flows from the outside of the cartridge to the inside. Sintered activated carbon, which is filled with the cartridge, captures chlorine from the water. Water squeezes through the tiny holes of the cartridge along its entire length, and then - filtered - it comes out of it on the inside. This patent works because the cartridge adheres tightly at the bottom to the filter body and is secured with a gasket from the top.

How often to exchange a contribution

The life of the cartridge depends on the amount and type of impurities present in the water. The cartridge should be replaced when we notice a drop in water pressure in the tap. The life expectancy of the cartridges is positively influenced by the installation of several filter bodies with varying degrees of accuracy - from the highest throughput to the smallest.

Before you install the carbon cartridge

Rinse the cartridge under running tap water. Thanks to this, you will get rid of a small amount of coal dust that remains after the production of the cartridge.

The S-BL series cartridges are designed for cold water filtration.

In order to extend the life of the cartridge, it is suggested to use a filter with a mechanical cartridge (string, foam - e.g. of the S-PP or S-PS series).
