HDMI connectors supporting 8K

The Yamaha MusicCast RX-V6A is the flagship model of the RX-V series and is equipped with multiple HDMI connectors (7 inputs/1 output). It should be emphasized that 3 HDMI inputs support 8K/60 Hz* resolution, making it a home entertainment center for years. Thanks to this, we can easily connect multiple devices supporting 8K separation at the same time, e.g. Consoles and Blu-Ray player. It is worth mentioning that all inputs are compatible with earlier formats, so there will be no problem connecting devices that support 4K/120 Hz and lower resolution. To take full advantage of 8K support, you will need to update the receiver software and 8K compatible TV.

HDR10+ image standard even more crystal clear, saturated, vivid image

The HDR10+ standard builds its advantage by supporting dynamic metadata (as opposed to static metadata used in other standards). Thanks to the information provided, the filmmakers receive information not only about the entire film, but also about individual scenes and shots, e.g. showing an even deeper contrast between light and dark scenes. To use HDR10+ support, you will need to update your software.

Perfect partner for gamers

RV-V6A is a device that has been equipped with a number of state-of-the-art technologies that have found application i.a. in the next generation of consoles. These are ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). The first solution is a mechanism used in games to eliminate delays. The system also adjusts the refresh rate to keep the image smooth. When switching the source, e.g. per video, the function is automatically deactivated. VRR is a mechanism used in games that eliminates image frames tearing and minimizes latency, as well as adjusting the refresh rate to maintain image smoothness. Combined with QMS (Quick Media Switching) functions, reducing signal latency when switching and eliminating instantaneous black screen, and QFT (Quick Frame Transport), reducing latency when transmitting image frames, the RX-V6A beautifully reproduces the sound quality of games and reproduces the image at maximum resolution without any delays or distortion. These features and systems dedicated to gamers make the RX-V6A the ideal partner for even the most demanding users. Game-dedicated features are available after the software update. To fully exploit the potential of “gaming systems”, a compatible TV is necessary.

Dolby Atmos equipped with an additional height virtualization function – without the need for 7 speakers

The reference model of the RX-V series allows the use of seven speakers to optimally reproduce the atmosphere of the cinema room. To meet the requirements of the most demanding users, Yamaha allows you to enjoy Dolby Atmos sound even for those users who do not have ceiling speakers or radiating upwards in their system. The Yamaha system uses forward-facing speakers to map the height. This allows the user to configure five speakers (two front, center and two effect) to achieve the effect of additional ceiling speakers, or they can use all available speakers in the system to achieve the effect of four ceiling speakers.

Multiroom MusicCast and network functions (AirPlay2, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)

The RX-V6A, as befits a home entertainment center, is equipped with the proprietary Yamaha Musicast multiroom system, which gives a number of possibilities to stream music from the receiver to devices in other rooms. In addition, the receiver is equipped with numerous network functions, such as Internet radio or streaming services (i.a. Tidal and Spotify). Engineers have not forgotten about Apple users by equipping the RX-V6A with Airplay2 support. On board you will also find two-way Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (2.4 / 5 GHz)

Modern design

Yamaha RX-V6A is not only the most modern electronic systems. Yamaha is also a beautifully presented device that will look dignified in any room, from rustic to modern. The sleek black front panel combined with the white display will harmonize with all interior equipment. To minimize the number of buttons, Japanese engineers used touch controls, which shows with what reverence the device was designed from start to finish.

Completely new amplifier section design

The new Yamaha receivers are equipped with a completely redesigned new amplifier characterized by i.a. high rate of output voltage build-up, thanks to which the aplituner can respond very quickly to the rapid demand for energy, e.g. in action scenes or in dynamic changes in music. Thanks to the new amplifier, the sound is dynamic, powerful, full of power and expression, and the power of 100W per channel (at 8 ohms) and 150W (at 4 ohms) ensures that even in the largest battle scenes or in the case of large music compositions, the dynamics will remain unwavering. The new amplifier also means more precise signal transmission for high-resolution sound.

Ability to connect wireless rear speakers (MusicCast Surround)

The Yamaha RX-V6A is also compatible with MusicCast Surround technology, thanks to which MusicCast 20 or MusicCast 50 speakers can also be wirelessly connected to the receiver as rear effect speakers in the home theater. Thanks to this solution, we do not have to run wires from the receiver to the rear speakers while maintaining the advantages of a full home theater system.

Acoustic room analyzer YPAO R.S.C

The proprietary YPAO™ R.S.C. technology with multi-point measurement helps to achieve an exciting and extremely realistic sound. YPAO (Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimizer) analyzes room acoustics and audio system and then fine-tunes various audio parameters to ensure the best sound in the listening room. Simply place the included microphone at the listening location and run YPAO so that the system is automatically calibrated for optimal performance at the home theater setting.

Control and configuration thanks to the dedicated MusicCast application, remote control and support for voice assistants

The receiver can be controlled using the included remote control, however, it can also be managed by the free, Polish-language MusicCast application or voice assistants (their availability may vary depending on the region and requires a device with a built-in microphone, e.g. smartphone or speaker with built-in voice assistant).

Built-in phono preamplifier for direct connection of turntable and other connectors

You can also connect a turntable to the RX-V6A, even if it is not equipped with a built-in preamplifier. In addition, the receiver provides a USB port (on the front panel), a network port, coaxial and optical digital inputs, and four pairs of analog inputs.
