Antlers are a natural and healthy dog chew!

The HARD version is a full piece of deer antler, cut to the right length and carefully sanded at the edges. The HARD version is the best choice for dogs that have strong jaws and like to bite!

Dogs are most interested in the inner part of the chew - the bone marrow. This is what they will try to eat and you should allow them to do so. It is rich in protein, collagen, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron and potassium.

In the HARD version, access to the bone marrow is more difficult. Less stubborn dogs can quickly become discouraged. So if you don't know if your dog will like the antlers, he will choose the Easy version, also available in our offers. If your dog is passionate about biting and can devote himself to this activity with passion, the HARD antler chew will be a big challenge for him and will keep him busy for many days or even weeks!

Tip: If your dog didn't fall in love with the chew toy at first sight, don't worry. Dip the teether in boiling water for a few minutes. A lot of antler aroma will then be released, which should quickly tempt the dog to bite.

Remember that your dog should always use the chew toy under your supervision!

After prolonged play, strong dogs may chip off smaller pieces of the hard outer part of the chew. This is a natural process for any antler chew. Be sure to pick them up and throw them away so they won't be swallowed by your dog.

It is also worth bearing in mind that antlers are not suitable for puppies (up to about 8 months of age) and for senior dogs - it is too hard for their teeth. Antlers are also not suitable for dogs that bite aggressively, hard and fast. Very aggressive biting of such a hard teether can lead to tooth breakage.

How to choose the size of the teether?

If you do not know how to choose the right size of a teether, we have prepared a simple table that will help you choose.

In the table we suggest how to choose a size depending on the weight of the dog. But it is also worth taking a ruler and trying to visualize whether the length of a given size will not be too small in relation to your dog's mouth.

This is very important because if the chew is too small, the dog may try to swallow it whole. And that could be dangerous and a choking hazard.

Drop antlers

The antlers we use come from airdrops. Once a year, in the spring, deer shed their antlers by themselves. It is a completely natural process, harmless to animals! After the deer sheds the antlers, the process of its regeneration and growth begins, to reappear in full form after about 4 months.

Such shed antlers are collected and then transported to our manufactory. There, we subject them to quality control, then they are washed with water under pressure and steam sterilized. The raw material prepared in this way is carefully cut, grinded and subjected to another quality control. Because the safety of your dog is the most important thing for us!

Fun fact: Did you know that - contrary to popular belief - the number of sprouts on a deer's antlers does not indicate its age? It used to be thought that deer grow one more outgrowth each year. However, the truth is that their amount depends on the nutrition and living conditions of a particular individual.
