The preparation contains in each tablet 1000 mg of vitamin C in the form of Ester-C®. It is a special form of vitamin C, soluble in both water and fats. In its composition, the preparation also contains citrus bioflavonoids, wild rose, rutin and acerola. Ester-C® is patented and contains active metabolites of vitamin C (L-threonic acid, L-lyxonic acid and L-xylone acid). Studies show that Ester-C® is better tolerated by the human body than L-ascorbic acid.
In addition, it is almost twice (189%) better absorbed by human immune cells – T cells than another popular form of vitamin C – calcium ascorbate.
Solgar Ester-C® 1000 mg vitamin C tablets have a neutral pH of 6.7 (vitamin C is buffered with calcium). This form of welcomemin C is gastrointestinal friendly, even in higher doses. The product is hypoallergenic and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
