It is made of stainless steel and copper antibacterial alloys (CW606N and CW508L), approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency EPA. It is equipped with a washable replacement cartridge for 5.500 liters or a year of operation (first thing), ceramic with activated carbon (two in one), with filtration accuracy (micron) of 0,5 microns.

Antibacterial Ceramic Filter OLYMPUS+ is a filter designed mainly for filtration of tap water, which since its treatment in the municipal treatment station, changes its composition due to the quality, age and length of the water supply network, undergoing re-pollution. At the same time, it removes disinfection residues from the water.

It should be an essential piece of equipment for every household, as it provides excellent quality crystalline, healthy and tasty water, free of any harmful substances.

It is equipped with an Antibacterial Protection System that neutralizes bacteria and other pathogens. Constantly released copper ions, thanks to their disinfecting properties, destroy the membrane and DNA of microbial cells both on the filter surface and throughout the filtration chamber.

The most effective operation of the filter occurs when the water flow does not exceed 1,5 liters / minute. Its cartridge is designed to filter 5.500 liters of water or to operate for 12 months (whichever comes first), for the average water from the network. However, these values may vary in cases of too high chlorine concentration, very high hardness and also in cases of too much contamination of filtered water. In any case, however, the contribution should be replaced after a period of 12 months.

What do Olympus+ filters with ceramic activated carbon cartridge stop?

Ceramic, replaceable cartridges found in Olympus+ filters are characterized by a micronage 10 times smaller than the size of pathogenic bacteria that can be found in water. It retains on its surface (if they exist in water) 100% of bacterial pathogens such as cholera, typhus, i.e. typhoid fever and others, whose dimensions are larger than the micron of the cartridge and billions of microorganisms killed by disinfection, which are in water and unwittingly consumed.

They retain organic compounds, chlorine, chlorinated by-products of chlorination (often more harmful than chlorine itself), pesticides, phenols, toxic compounds, asbestos fibers, 6-value chromium, cadmium, arsenic, lead and other heavy metals. At the same time, of course, they stop any mechanical micro-pollution such as sand, dust, rust, etc.

What do Olympus+ filters not stop?

They pass useful, dissolved mineral salts, such as magnesium, calcium, potassium, necessary for human health and giving water a refreshing taste. The above property of Olympus+ filters puts them above expensive and energy-intensive reverse osmosis systems, which also remove mineral salts. Drinking unpalatable, demineralized water for many years can lead to electrolytic imbalance in the human body with very unpleasant consequences.
