Earth Stopper brand Vegano is a biological preparation containing 2,5 million nematodes (Steinernema feltiae), which effectively fight the larvae of earthworms in pots. It is a safe and natural method of plant protection, supporting their healthy development and increasing resistance to pests. Regular use of the preparation allows to keep plants in excellent condition, free from bothersome insects.

How do nematodes work?

After application, the nematodes enter the pest and then release symbiotic bacteria in its body. These bacteria convert the larva tissue into a food source, where nematodes develop and multiply. Once attacked, the pest dies within hours or days and decomposes quickly.

Method of use

Preparation:

✔ Take the sachet out of the package and leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes.

✔ Make sure your application hardware (e.g. watering can) is thoroughly cleaned of fertilizer residues and plant protection products.

✔ Water the substrate before application to make it slightly moist.

Preparation of the solution:

✔ Put the contents of the sachet into 5-10 liters of water at 10-15°C, depending on the number of pots.

✔ Mix and wait 5 minutes for the product to soak.

✔ Regularly mix the solution during application, as the nematodes may sink to the bottom.

✔ Alternatively: You can also dissolve in 5 liters of water, pour 1 liter of solution, and then add 1 liter of water.

Application:

✔ Use nematodes in the evening, avoiding direct sun and temperatures above 35°C.

✔ The finished solution should be used immediately (within 2 hours at the latest).

✔ Pour the solution evenly onto the substrate in pots according to the dosage table.

Dosage according to the following table:

✔ ø 12 cm - 25 ml

✔ ø 16 cm - 40 ml

✔ ø 20 cm - 65 ml

✔ ø 24 cm - 90 ml

✔ ø 28 cm - 125 ml

✔ ø 32 cm - 165 ml

✔ ø 36 cm - 205 ml

✔ ø 40 cm - 250 ml

✔ ø 50 cm - 310 ml

After application:

✔ For about 2 weeks, keep the substrate slightly moist.

✔ Do not use preparations such as tansy or P-drakol before application and for 2-3 weeks after its execution, so that they do not adversely affect the effectiveness of nematodes.

✔ Use after observing the first flying flies or prophylactically every 3 weeks.

✔ The optimum temperature in pots is 19-31°C.

✔ The earth should be moist because nematodes need moisture to survive and move.

Storage and durability:

✔ After receiving the product, it should be removed from the transport packaging immediately.

✔ Store in a refrigerator at 2-6°C until the expiry date stated on the package.

✔ Do not freeze.

Packaging Earthworm Stopwatch 5 million nematodes is enough for an area of 10 m², which corresponds to about 600 pots with a diameter of 14 cm.

Yes, nematodes feed only on earthworms without damaging the plants.

Can I use a higher than recommended concentration of the preparation with nematodes?

The concentration may be slightly increased, although the proportions given on the packaging should also help in the case of high severity of pests.
