The LCD head is controlled by a microcomputer and allows you to set the operating parameters of the water treatment system. The operation of the LCD head was based on modern technology of rotating ceramic discs. The discs are made of high quality ceramic material, resistant to abrasion, corrosion, deposition of impurities and iron, so that they do not accumulate in the controller, which further improves its operation.

CHARACTERISTICS OF WEBER AQUA WS-25-LCD SOFTENER

• Electrical power supply

The device requires an electrical power supply with a voltage of 230V. In the event of a power outage, the program data of the electronic controller is maintained for about 48 hours.

• Quality of feed water

The softener is designed to treat water free from iron, manganese, and ammonium ion compounds. In order to ensure proper operation of the device, extend the service life and quality of the water produced, it is prohibited to treat water that exceeds the applicable standards of physicochemical composition (excluding general hardness). Therefore, the softener should not be used to treat water from its own intake (well). Before treating water from your own intake, you should test the water for iron, manganese and ammonium ion content.

• Hydraulic installation

The hydraulic system to which the softener is connected should be free of deposits. In the event of significant deposits of boiler stone and iron, it is recommended to replace the pipes with new ones. If this is not possible, set the output hardness of water at 5 dH on the softener.

• Copper installation

In the case of copper installations, water should not be completely softened so that it does not gain corrosive properties. Therefore, with copper pipes, the output hardness should be set at 5 dH.

• Pre-filter

The device is mounted at the entrance of cold water to the building. Before the softener, it is recommended to install a protective pre-filter (body) with a mechanical cartridge (foam or string, with a micronage of at least 20 microns). These products are available in our store in the category: Water filters and Water filter cartridges. The purpose of the filter is to ensure that the water softening device is protected from large mechanical particles that could lead to failure.

• Location of the softener and drainage of rinses

Usually, softeners are located in the boiler room, utility room, garage or bathroom near the sewer. It is recommended to install a siphon WSP-SYFON USTM - dedicated to softeners, which is available in our warehouse (so that the odor from the sewage system does not escape and that there is no retreat with bacteria hose to the softener). A hose reinforced with a braid against the collapse of the hose is recommended for drainage of rinses (a bent hose may result in salt water after regeneration or incomplete regeneration, which will result in hard or salt water).

• Protection against flooding

The Weber AQUA WS-25-LCD softener is equipped with double anti-flood protection: a brine float valve and an overflow elbow on the housing. The anti-flood float is located in a well (plastic tube inside the housing). When the tank is overflowing, the float cuts off the water supply to the device. The overflow elbow of the brine tank drain should be guided to the sewer pipe, with the help of a flexible hose and stabilize the plastic connection with a clamp. The drain hose shall be installed in such a way that water cannot retreat from the sewer to the hose. A pressure gauge should be placed in front of the softener to control water pressure.

NOTE! Each drain should be equipped with a separate hose. Do not connect the drain of the rinses and the hose from the overflow elbow. The overflow hose should be placed in the drain of the sewage system, preferably with a special siphon.

• Regeneration of deposit

Regeneration of the ion exchange bed begins automatically after treatment of a certain amount of water. The recovery time was factory set at 2:00 a.m. It is also important that during the operation of the softener systematically control the level of salt necessary for the proper operation of the device. The salt level should not be lower than 1/4 of the tank height, nor higher than 1/2. When replenishing salt, make sure that no contaminants enter the tank. After checking the salt level, the tank cover should be closed.

NOTE. The salt level must always be a few centimeters lower than the water level in the tank.

A WORKS WATER SOFTENER WEBER AQUA WS-25-LCD?

The main elements of the device are: ion exchange bed, brine tank, by-pass, control head and overflow protection.

Water from the network flows through the ion exchange bed, which draws calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness. In their place, sodium ions are transmitted. In this way, water with a much lower hardness is obtained. Because water has different hardness in different areas, the bypass softener is equipped with a hardness adjustment screw that allows you to adjust the softening power to the hardness of the water. In this way, you can each time precisely set the hardness of water that interests the user.

By absorbing calcium and magnesium ions and emitting sodium ions, the ion exchange deposit gradually loses its effectiveness during use, which is why they should be regenerated cyclically. Regeneration takes place in several stages and consists in rinsing calcium and magnesium ions from the deposit and charging it with sodium ions. Charging with sodium ions is carried out using brine. Brine is formed in the brine tank by dissolving salt tablets in water, which the user should regularly supplement. The whole process, except for salt replenishment, is automatic, and the control head is responsible for its proper course.

The Weber AQUA WS-25-LCD Softener has a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Public Health - National Institute of Hygiene. The certificate proves the positive opinion of devices intended to come into contact with water for consumption.
