AQUA POLAND WATER SOFTENER UNICO MILDIGO 25L

MILDIGO UNICO water softener is used to soften tap water. It is called ion exchange because the resin that is in it during contact with raw water exchanges ions that cause water hardness (calcium and magnesium) for sodium ions. The resin can only replace a certain amount of ions – therefore, from time to time it must be regenerated with brine (a solution of lozenge salt). Only then will she be ready to work again. During regeneration, rinses containing hardness ions and brine chlorides are discharged into the sewage system.

Terminology of UNICO softener

VOLUME REGENERATION – based on the hardness of the input water, we calculate how much water the station is able to soften after one regeneration of the resin with brine. The calculated value is entered into the controller and counted using the flowmeter, which is located in the head. The more water we use, the more often the softener will regenerate.

TIME REGENERATION – does not take into account the amount of water used by us, regeneration takes place only on days determined by us in advance (on the controller). Even if we do not use water, the softener will regenerate.

OVERWRITE CALENDAR – if we do not use water for more than 1 month (due to e.g. holidays) the softener, regardless of settings, will regenerate every 30 days. Thanks to this, the ion exchange resin will retain its softening properties.
