The measurement accuracy is 1°dH per 1 drop of reagent in 5ml of water, the product is designed to test water containing hardness.
The test can also be performed in 10 ml of water, the measurement accuracy then will be 0,5°dH per 1 drop of reagent.
The reagent allows you to perform several/several tests depending on the hardness of the water.
The Aquaphor water hardness test will be helpful during:
- control of the hardness of tap water or from own intake
- control of water hardness in kettles; coffee machines; washing machines; dishwashers
- correct setting of water softeners
- control of water hardness in aquaristics
How to measure water hardness?
- Rinse the measuring vessel 2-3 times with the test water.
- Fill the test water to a bar marked 5 ml.
- Add one drop of reagent and stir the sample in a circular motion for a few seconds. The sample should be red.
- Add more drops of reagent until the color of the sample begins to turn green.
- Mix the sample for 10-20 seconds and observe if the color has changed to clearly green. If you do not add another drop and stir again for 10-20 seconds.
- The amount of reagent drops added, until the color changes to green, corresponds to the hardness of water in German degrees.
- After the measurement, pour the sample into the sewer and rinse the measuring vessel thoroughly.
