How does the Wessper filter work?

The Wessper filter works on the basis of two filtration methods: mechanical and carbon filter.

Mechanical filtration is responsible for stopping larger contaminants such as rust or sand. It is equipped with a filter mesh that effectively traps these substances inside the filter. Thanks to this, water is deprived of mechanical impurities, which affects its purity and clarity.

The carbon filter, in turn, consists of two basic elements: activated carbon and ion exchange resin. Activated carbon carries out the process of absorption and catalytic reduction, thanks to which it effectively removes harmful substances such as pesticides, herbicides, chlorine or detergents that may be present in tap water. In addition, activated carbon improves the smell and taste of water, making it more pleasant to consume.

Ion-exchange resin is responsible for removing excess magnesium and calcium ions, which are responsible for water hardness. Thanks to this, the Wessper filter reduces water hardness, which has a positive effect on various aspects, such as preventing the deposition of boiler scale or the formation of sediment on dishes.

In addition, the Wessper filter reduces the content of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, copper, chromium, zinc or mercury that may be present in tap water. Thanks to this, after filtration, water is safe for consumption and free from these harmful substances.

The filter grille, located inside the filter, acts as an additional protection. It stops contaminants that could enter the final product, ensuring even higher filtration efficiency.
