It is a carbon similar to the one we buy at the pharmacy in case of food poisoning and the one used in gas masks. It is a natural substance obtained most often from burning coconut shells. Carbon removes unpleasant odor from the water and improves its taste. In addition, it is impregnated with silver – this protects the inside of the cartridge against the development of microorganisms.

Ion-exchange resin removes excess salts causing water hardness, which is the cause of limescale deposition in household appliances.

The AquaPlus Active universal replacement filter cartridge provides universal protection against a number of contaminants commonly found in tap water. It improves the taste and smell of water while reducing the rate of scale formation in hard water.
