Each of the three cartridges is responsible for a different stage of purification. Thanks to this, the triple water filter combines mechanical and carbon filtration in one set.

1 FCPS5 5 µm foam cartridge – mechanical filter

Action: deep filtration of mechanical impurities – stops sand, silt, rust deposits and larger solid particles.

Where: usually installed as a first stage, against carbon cartridges to protect further filtration steps.

Exchange: every 3 to 6 months. *

The cartridge acts as a pre-filter and sedimentation filter, stopping mechanical contaminants before the water reaches the next steps.

2 GAC10 WODARO cartridge – activated carbon granules

Action: water clarification – reduction of chlorine, aromas, odors and organic deposits.

Where: second stage of filtration – pre-purifies the water, leaving it clean and taste neutral.

Exchange: every 3 to 6 months. *

3 FCBL10 contribution WODARO – carbon block

Action: adsorption of chlorine, pesticides and most organic compounds, heavy metals; significant improvement in the taste and smell of water.

Where: the third stage – the block cartridge removes chemicals before the water goes into further circulation.

❓ FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

1. How often do I replace water filter cartridges?

We recommend replacing every 3 to 6 months*, depending on water quality, pressure and temperature. Higher water pollution or higher temperatures accelerate the consumption of cartridges.

2. Does the filter require electrical power?

No. The flow filter operates passively, using pressure in the water system.

3. Can I install the filter myself?

Yes – the set includes all accessories (key, screws, plate, tape), and the assembly is described step by step at the point below. We also provide a detailed instruction manual for the set.

4. Does the filter lower the water pressure?

Yes, minimally – the pressure drop (0,1 – 0,3 bar) still ensures effective filtration without losing the comfort of use.

5. Are the cartridges suitable for water temperatures up to 45°C?

Yes – all components are adapted to work in the range of 1 to 45 ° C.

6. Can other 10″ filter cartridges be used?

Yes. The bodies are universal and fit most standard 10″ cartridges.

1️⃣ Preparation Before Installation

1.1. Check Kit Contents

• 3 × Filter housings with pre-connected heads (in one frame)
• 1 × Mounting plate
• 1 × Installation wrench
• 6 × O-rings (seals) in heads, pre-installed
• 3 × Filter cartridges
• 12 screws for attaching the plate to the heads

1.2. Tools and Additional Materials (Not Included)

• Drill with a ø6 mm drill bit
• ø6 mm expansion anchors
• Phillips screwdriver (PH2)
• Technical petroleum jelly
• 3/4" Male pipe thread (GZ) water connectors
• Teflon tape or thread seal tape for thread sealing
• Optional: Adjustable wrench or open-end wrench for metal connectors

1.3. Cartridge Preparation

1. Remove each cartridge from its plastic packaging.
2. Place the cartridges in a clean container with water and submerge for 30 minutes.
3. After this time, gently remove them and allow excess water to drain.

Note: Soaking prevents air bubbles and improves filtration efficiency.

2️⃣. Choosing and Preparing the Installation Location

1. Select Location

   Behind the main water shut-off valve.

   In an area with easy access for servicing and cartridge replacement.

2. Ensure at least 10 cm of clear space above and below the filter frame.
3. Close the water shut-off valve and release pressure by opening the nearest faucet downstream of the filter.

3️⃣. Installing the Mounting Plate and Filter Housing Frame

1. Position the mounting plate below the three-head frame, ensuring it is level.
2. Mark the mounting holes corresponding to the holes on the plate.
3. Drill the holes and insert the expansion anchors.
4. Secure the plate to the wall using the anchors.
5. Hang the filter housing frame onto the plate by hooking the top profile of the frame.

4️⃣ Installing Water Connectors

Note: The filter housing set has 3/4" Female pipe thread (GW) connections for inlet and outlet. The customer must provide the appropriate 3/4" Male pipe thread (GZ) connectors.

1. Select 3/4" Male pipe thread (GZ) connectors that fit the 3/4" Female pipe thread (GW) connections on the filter heads.
2. Wrap the GZ threads with Teflon tape (several turns).
3. Screw the GZ connectors into the GW threads of the filter heads:

   The side marked with an arrow IN – water inlet from the system.

   The side marked OUT – water outlet after filtration.

4. Tighten the connectors with an adjustable wrench until snug.
5. Connect the water system pipes to the installed connectors, ensuring all connections are sealed.

5️⃣ Installing Filter Cartridges

Reminder: Cartridges should already be soaked for 30 minutes.

1. Unscrew each filter housing.
2. Check if the O-ring is in place.
3. Apply a layer of petroleum jelly to the O-ring.
4. Insert the cartridges into the housing in the following order:

   Mechanical (foam)

   Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge

   Activated Carbon Block

5. Ensure each cartridge is seated vertically.
6. Screw the housing back on: by hand or with the wrench until slight resistance is felt.

6️⃣ Startup and Leak Test

1. Slowly open the main water supply valve (1/4 turn).
2. Observe the filter set for 2–3 minutes:

   If you notice any leaks, slightly tighten the affected housing or connector.

3. Once you confirm there are no leaks, open the valve completely.

7️⃣ Flushing and Putting into Use

1. Open the nearest faucet downstream of the filter and flush the cartridges for 5–10 minutes.
2. Check the stability of the installation and seals.
3. Record the installation date on the housing labels – this will help plan cartridge replacements.
