The filter is equipped as standard with a reusable stainless mesh cartridge (40-60 µm) and a drain valve.

An extremely interesting solution in this model is a built-in scraper and a rotating ring (knob) for it - allowing you to remove dirt from the mesh, without opening the filter.

Very interesting is the ability to connect 3/4" Gw or 1" Gz

If the water quality is very poor (with large contaminants), it is recommended to mount between the main shut-off valve and this filter, another pre-filter with a larger micronage (90 µm) to stop the largest particles.

Application:

• in domestic water supply systems (main purpose)
• in selected industrial applications.
• The pre-filter protects the household fittings against insoluble contaminants from the water supply network or own water intake (sand, rust, fine particles of sealing elements, etc. ).
• in particular, it protects household appliances (washing machine, dishwasher), ceramic heads in bathroom and kitchen faucets, heads of water treatment devices (m.in. Softener, iron remover, etc. )
• Spin Down filter type - after opening the drain valve, the water vortex from the network moving down cleans the cartridge and removes the collected impurities.
• This drain valve is located at the bottom of the housing and to it you need to connect a drain hose (included) with a length of about 60 cm and guide it, for example, to the sewage system.
• The service key for unscrewing/screwing the housing is also included.

Filter operation:

The principle of operation of the pre-filter consists in separating insoluble impurities in flowing water (on the basis of filtration), in the case of FD246 with a fraction greater than (40/60µm). The smaller the micron, the more effective the filtration, but the standard the greater the pressure loss on the filter.

In the case of the FD246 filter, thanks to a larger filter surface (up to 90 cm2), it was possible to use a cartridge with a finer mesh without losing anything on pressure. The cartridge is reusable and is cleaned of retained deposits during the manual rinsing phase.

Regular operation consists in checking the degree of contamination of the cartridge (the housing is transparent) and if contaminants are visible on the unscrewing of the filter drain valve. This action is performed without turning off the water supply, several times turn right and left with the scraper knob, which mechanically cleans the mesh surfaces.

Then open the drain valve for a moment and twist the scraper again. The water pressure with the drain valve open pushes impurities out of the filter and rinses its filter cartridge/mesh. After re-closing the drain valve, the filter returns to the duty cycle.
