The VIOFO brand has introduced active parking mode to all A229* series cameras. To use this mode, the camera must be permanently connected to the power supply (using e.g. adapter for connecting to the battery available at our auctions).

Active mode allows for unattended operation and automatic switching to driving or parking mode.

For even greater efficiency during parking recordings, the camera automatically switches to time-lapse recording mode, which significantly reduces the amount of space used on the memory card.

✅ BUILT-IN BLUETOOTH MODULE

The camera has a built-in BLUETOOTH module that allows you to pair an additional button (optional - not included). The button allows you to manually protect recordings from overwriting, the other two buttons can be programmed.

✅ MEMORY CARD RECOMMENDATION VIOFO

Car cameras require a memory card that can withstand intense write cycles. The high-strength card, designed specifically for intensive use with a large amount of records, is extremely important for recording car cameras. Cheap cards are the main cause of most unexplained recording problems, have poor performance and durability with continuous recording and are less resistant to harsh conditions.

VIOFO INDUSTRIAL high-strength microSD cards, optimized for recording by car cameras, provide greater compatibility and durability during long-term use.

✅ BUILT-IN WIFI MODULE 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz

The VIOFO A229 ULTRA 2CH camera has a powerful WIFI module operating in two bands: 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Thanks to this, the camera can be controlled using a dedicated VIOFO application, which is free for Android and iOS.

In the application, we can change the camera settings, we can view and play recordings and rip them to the phone.

✅ GPS MODULE

An active mounting bracket has been installed in the VIOFO A229 ULTRA 2CH camera. Thanks to this solution, we do not have to install an external GPS module, and in addition, the active mounting bracket allows for easy and quick removal of the camera from the holder.

Thanks to the GPS module, geographical coordinates and speed can be added to each recording (the ability to disable this function in the menu).

When playing recordings made with the GPS module, we also have the option of using the DASHCAMVIEWER program to recreate the passage of the vehicle along with tracking the route on the map.

The built-in GPS module supports four global satellite navigation systems – GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS.

✅ LOOP RECORDING

The A229 Ultra supports smooth loop recording and overwrites the oldest recordings with the latest ones. With a built-in overload sensor (G-sensor), the dash cam automatically blocks the recording in the event of a collision or accident, recreating the scene of an accident for your peace of mind.

✅ POLARIZING FILTER

The CPL (Wheel Polarizing Filter) filter can be used to reduce reflections and glare from glass surfaces and roads, improving image clarity and contrast.

The dash cam supports seamless smartphone connectivity with a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C cable, allowing you to download photos and videos super-fast. Download speeds for iPhone 16 are up to 20MB/s. This direct connection also makes it easy to update your firmware, ensuring you have quick access to the latest features and optimal performance.

Note: Use USB 2.0 Type-C Type-C cable and make sure your phone supports 5V and 2A output voltage. USB 2.0 data transfer is only compatible with USB 2.0 enabled devices.
