The next generation of the popular studio camera

After the great adoption of the first generation Micro Studio camera, it was time for the release of the improved version. The G2 still maintains an incredibly compact design, but has been enriched with many interesting solutions that provide even more efficient imaging. Among them you can find m.in. 4K cinema sensor with 13-degree dynamic range and dual native ISO sensitivity up to 25 600, guaranteeing excellent low-light performance. In addition, the G2 version has been supplemented with 12G-SDI enabling operation in resolutions up to 2160p60, a USB-C port for recording Blackmagic RAW on external drives, as well as network control via Ethernet.

Extremely compact dimensions

One of the hallmarks of the Micro Studio camera is its small size, which makes it ideal for many applications. The case of inconspicuous size hides inside a sensor with 4K resolution, which can also record HD or Full HD video. Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 has many advanced features, such as: color correction, the possibility of full control by SDI, PTZ output, built-in microphones, mounting Micro Four Thirds system lenses and optionally traditional film lenses with an adapter. All this makes the Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 a full-fledged studio camera.

Revolutionary solutions

The Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 is made of super durable magnesium alloy. The use of the Micro Four Thirds bayonet gives access to a wide range of professional lenses that can be perfectly matched to the order, the manufacturer also provided the possibility of mounting traditional film lenses using the B4 adapter.

12G-SDI

With SDI control (including the G2 12G-SDI version), you can get remote control over camera settings such as color balance, black level, gamma, sharpness, zoom and much more. The expansion port includes a PTZ output, allowing remote control of the supporting solution, tripod heads, and lenses.

4K matrix

Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 features a high-performance sensor that allows you to record video in cinematic quality and 4K resolution with incredible sharpness and texture quality. This sensor provides sensitivity up to 25 600 ISO, enabling efficient recording even with a small amount of light.

Micro Four Thirds Lenses

MFT lenses are designed to offer a very sharp image compared to traditional video lenses with their small size and weight, making them ideal for Ultra HD recordings. They can be remotely controlled via SDI or from the camera expansion port.

Remote control

Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 has standard SDI connectors. This means that you can connect the camera to the ATEM switcher and get control over its settings such as color correction, focus change, aperture and zoom (in the case of lenses supporting this standard).

Quick access to settings

On the front of the camera there are buttons for quick and easy access to power, menu navigation and settings. This positioning of the buttons allows you to control even when the camera is in a hard-to-reach place. To enter the menu, simply connect the camera to any external display using HDMI, it can be Blackmagic Video Assist or even a TV.

Professional sound quality

Built-in stereo microphones are designed for high-quality sound, the special design helps to eliminate the undesirable impact of wind noise, so you can get great audio quality. In the event that the built-in microphone may not be sufficient, it is possible to connect an external microphone, which is automatically detected by the camera.

Power supply

The camera is equipped with a 12V power input, so it can be powered from any power supply. The connector lock prevents accidental disconnection of the device. The camera also features a socket compatible with the Canon LP-E6 battery, which can be used as a backup power source.
