Two probes are included in the set:

• 5PΦ10 - "5" is the frequency in megahertz (5 MHz). This is a standard value that provides good sensitivity while maintaining adequate material penetration (e.g. steel). "P" indicates a straight (contact) probe. "Φ10" indicates the diameter of the piezoelectric transducer (10 mm).
• 5MHz 6.0 - "5MHz" is a standard, universal frequency. It is a compromise between resolution (ability to detect small defects) and penetration (depth to which the wave can penetrate the material). "6.0" is the transducer diameter, which facilitates measurements on curved surfaces (e.g. small diameter pipes) and in hard-to-reach places where a larger probe would not adhere perfectly to the material.
