✅How to use aluminum sulfate in agriculture?
Aluminum sulfate is used to modify soil pH, which is especially important when growing acid-loving plants such as azals, hydrangeas or blueberries. To lower the pH of the soil, dissolve 5-10 g of aluminum sulfate in 10 liters of water and water the soil around the plants with it. In addition, it can be used as a plant protection product against fungal diseases, using a solution with a concentration of 1-2% for spraying leaves.
✅How to get blue hydrangeas with aluminum sulfate?
- Aluminium sulphate use: In spring, before the start of the growth season, dissolve approx. 5g of aluminum sulfate in 1 liter of water. The solution prepared in this way should be poured around the base of the hydrangea plant.
- Regular fertilization: To maintain the blue color of the flowers, aluminum sulfate fertilization should be repeated every 4-6 weeks during the growing season.
PH monitoring: Regularly check the pH of the soil with a pH tester to make sure it stays within the right range. If the pH begins to rise, apply an additional solution of aluminum sulfate to restore the acidity of the soil.
