To welcome the next generation of 10G networks, Planet introduces a brand new 10GBase-T PCI server adapter - the ENW-9803 model. It comes with 1 10GBase-T RJ-45 port and fits small enclosures thanks to its low-profile size. The adapter offers the lowest price, high performance and low power consumption when implementing the 10 Gb network standard. With 10 times more bandwidth than existing 1000 Mbps solutions, the Planet ENW-9803 used with NAS servers and drives guarantees very high performance and excellent signal quality.

Cost-effective 10G network adapter

Compared to 10G adapters with CX4 and SFP+ interfaces, Planet ENW-9803 is the best choice because it allows connectivity over a distance of 100 meters using an RJ-45 Cat cable. 6a or Cat.7, where the CX4 standard allows for up to 15 meters and fiber optic solutions are expensive. Users of ENW-9803 bear only the cost of standard Cat cables. 6a or Cat.7, which costs less than the SFP+ transceiver itself.

Support for 16K frames and IEEE 802.3 flow control further optimizes transfer performance without the risk of packet loss. The high bandwidth of this adapter makes it ideal for most 10 GbE environments.
