In 2016, a new wiring standard was developed - category 8. The ANSI/TIA-568-C.2-1 document specifies two cabling variants to support 25 Gbps (Class I - Cat.8.1, 2000MHz band) and 40 Gbps (Class II - Cat8.2, 2000MHz band). Category 8.1 uses RJ45 connectors and is compatible with categories 6/6A while category 8.2 uses other connectors and is not compatible with categories 6/6A.

The offered patch cord is a shielded RJ45-RJ45 category 8.1 Ethernet connection in a 1:1 connection. The patch cord guarantees transmission frequency up to 2000MHz and ensures that both Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet (EA class, category 6A) and 25 Gigabit Ethernet (Class I, category 8.1) parameters are met.

The cable is made of 4-pair copper twisted pair 4x2xAWG 26/7 in SFTP (Shielded-Foiled Twisted Pair) / PIMF (Paired, Individually Metal Foiled) technology, i.e. each pair in an individual foil screen and additionally the whole in a mesh screen. The coat is made of LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen). RJ45 plugs with gold-plated contacts (50μin) are connected according to the EIA/TIA 568B standard.

The cable complies with ANSI/TIA-568-C.2-1 and ISO11801,ISO/IEC 11801 standards, meets the cat 6A standard (class I - 2000MHz band) and is dedicated to 10/100/1000/10000/25000Mbps networks, i.e. it guarantees work in Fast Ethernet (100Mb/s), Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mb/s), 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10000Mb/s) and 25 Gigabit Ethernet (25000Mb/s) networks and is suitable for PoE/PoE+ transmission. Each exemplary is individually tested and has a test report.

It is used to connect computers and other network devices (switches, hubs, routers, network printers, etc. ) for Ethernet computer networks, patch cable is used less often, it is mainly used for direct connection between two computers equipped with network cards bypassing the router and switch.
