Purpose of the device
TL-SG1008P is a switch to which you can connect various types of devices with Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps) and Fast Ethernet (10/100Mbps) ports. The switch has 8 RJ45 10/100/1000Mbps ports for high-speed network transmission.
Operation of the device
The first 4 switch ports support PoE function and are able to automatically detect connected PoE devices in 802.3af standard and provide them with power via Ethernet cable. Thanks to this, we can connect additional network devices requiring power supply in a place where it is not possible to connect the power supply to them.
Overload protection and port prioritization
TL-SG1008P has been enriched with a function that protects the system against excessive overload. It involves setting power priorities for PoE devices. When the total power of 53W is exceeded, the device will automatically cut off the port power supply with the lowest priority set.
Easy operation
The TL-SG1008P switch can be used both in the home network and in a small office. It is extremely easy to use and install, as it does not require preconfiguration.
