Excellent full PoE+ power solution ideal for harsh environmental conditions

With a convenient Plug and Play solution, the PLANET industrial quality ISW-514PTF switch, DIN type, unmanaged Fast Ethernet PoE+ offers four IEEE 802.3at PoE+ 10/100BASE-TX ports and 1 additional 100BASE-FX fiber interface for uplinking, allowing you to automatically detect and configure indoor and outdoor devices.

The ISW-514PTF is designed with a redundant power system and is able to operate reliably, stably and quietly in any harsh environment without affecting its performance. It has a total power budget of up to 120 watts, suitable for various types of PoE applications, and an operating temperature ranging from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius in a durable IP40 metal housing.

Convenient and reliable power system

To facilitate the use of PoE+ 802.3at with the commonly used 1254V DC power input in transport and industrial applications, the ISW-514PTF uses power increase technology from 1254V DC to 54V DC, which solves the power source problem but does not require special power sources. Its wide voltage range is suitable for use worldwide in applications that require a dual or backup high-availability power source.

PoE+ 802.3at power and Ethernet data extension

The ISW-514PTF has a built-in robust DIP switch that provides "Standard", "VLAN" and "Extend" operating modes. By default, the ISW-514PTF operates as a regular IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ switch in "Standard" operation mode.

The "VLAN" operating mode features a port-based VLAN feature that helps prevent multicast or IP camera broadcast storms from affecting each other.

In "Extend" mode, the ISW-514PTF operates on the principle of individual port configuration at 10Mbps in full duplex mode and can support 25 watts PoE power over a distance of up to 250 meters, overcoming the limit of 100 meters on an Ethernet UTP cable.

Ability to extend coverage via fiber optic link

The ISW-514PTF is equipped with a single 100BASE-FX port, which means that the administrator can flexibly select the appropriate SFP transceivers, taking into account both the transmission distance and the required transmission speed. The distance can be extended from 2 kilometers (multimode fiber) to 20/40/60/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). They are suitable for transport, production, security and distance monitoring applications without any restrictions.

Resistant to environmental conditions

With its IP40 rated metal housing, the ISW-514PTF provides a high level of resistance to electromagnetic interference and strong electrical surges that typically occur in production halls or motion control cabinets without air conditioning. It features a ventilated design that does not require a cooling fan, which makes its operation quiet. It operates at temperatures from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius, allowing the ISW-514PTF to be placed in almost any harsh environment.

Robust protection

The ISW-514PTF provides a contact discharge of ±5 kV DC and an air discharge of ±5 kV DC to protect against Ethernet electrostatic discharge (ESD). It also supports ±5 kV surge resistance, which improves product stability and protects user networks from catastrophic ESD attacks, ensuring business continuity.

Intelligent LED indicator to monitor current PoE consumption

The ISW-514PTF helps users monitor the current state of PoE power consumption in a simple and efficient way using an advanced LED indicator. Called "PoE Energy Consumption", the front panel of the industrial Gigabit PoE+ switch features four orange LEDs indicating 30W, 60W, 90W and 120W PoE power consumption.

Flexible and easy installation in limited space

The ISW-514PTF is designed for installation in a variety of environments, such as wall mounting enclosures. It can be permanently mounted on a wall or on a DIN rail, which makes its usability more flexible and simpler for locations with limited space.
