The EXT-POE4H extender is a device designed to increase the transmission distance of PoE power and Ethernet data via UTP cat. 5 for another 100m. The extender can be powered from a PoE-compliant device (PoE IN input) or from an external 44-57VDC power supply (DC IN input). The power source is selected using the Power Source jumper (see Fig. 1). The output voltage and data are available on the PoE OUT1 and PoE OUT2 outputs, to which cameras or other IP devices using PoE power supply should be connected. The maximum load current is 0.3A/port (total = 0.4A max.). To transmit power on the PoE OUT1 and PoE OUT2 ports, pairs 4/5 (+) and 7/8 (-) are used, which, according to the Ethernet standard, are not used for data transmission (data transmission takes place using pairs 1/2 and 3/6).

Attention! The device cannot be used in Gigabit Ethernet networks where all twisted pair pairs are involved in data transmission.
