The Shimano CUES FC-U4000-2 crank is compatible with 2x9/10/11 drives and the Linkglide shifting system. The manufacturer recommends it for use in mountain bikes, but also tourist and even urban bikes. The durability of the crank allows it to be used in e-bikes.
The version has a chain guard, which is a valuable additional convenience. It will effectively protect bicycle components from dirt and small objects, but also the cyclist – the trousers will certainly not be hooked between the crank disc and the chain thanks to the cover.
The Shimano CUES FC-U4000-2 crank is made of aluminium and steel. These materials allowed to obtain high rigidity and at the same time low weight. Four-arm steel discs are permanently mounted using rivet connections.
