Magnum MIG 222 Dual Pulse Synergy is packed with advanced features that enable high-quality welding not only of black steel, but also of aluminum and stainless steel. The most important of them, we will discuss later in the description.

The source was made on the basis of an advanced technological solution, including IGBT power transistors. They provide a minimum of electromagnetic interference, increase the efficiency and reliability of the source. IGBT technology also means lower energy consumption and rapid adaptation of the source to changes in parameters during welding.

In MIG welding with so-called. With a pulsating arc, the end of the electrode wire melts accelerated, forming and peeling off metal droplets. The resulting welding arc and metal flow characteristics from the end of the wire to the welding lake, ensure better quality of the welded joint and less chipping. Pulsed MIG welding also reduces thermal deformations caused during welding. This process is recommended for use e.g. when welding stainless and acid-resistant steels.

Dual pulsation MIG welding is particularly useful when welding aluminium and its alloys. Thanks to the use of a double pulse, with the appropriate setting of parameters, it is possible to obtain a weld that goes far beyond the capabilities of the conventional MIG method.

A well-made MIG weld with double pulsation is aesthetically and qualitatively similar to the welded joint obtained by TIG AC method. However, the difference is that during double pulsation MIG welding much higher efficiency is achieved, and the semi-automatic welding technology itself is much simpler for the operator than TIG welding.

MIG 222 Dual Pulse Synergy enables TIG welding with arc ignition Lift (contact) DC and DC with pulse of black steel, stainless steel and acid-resistant steels. As one of the few MIG 3in1 devices, it has the function of TIG welding with pulse + pulse parameters adjustment: base current, peak current, pulsation balance and pulse frequency.
