MIG 205 L by MAGNUM is a professional semi-automatic welding machine designed for welding low carbon steel, low alloy steel (MAG), alloy steel (MIG), aluminum and its alloys and for lutowelding!!! It also has the ability to weld with wrapped electrodes (rutile, alkaline, acidic - MMA), as well as self-shielding wires (welding "without gas"). This device is used in heavy production (industrial) conditions as well as in repair workshops. Thanks to the use of synergistic settings and a clear LCD screen, the device is extremely easy to use and can be used by welders even with minimal experience.

It is adapted to power from the mains 230 V, 50 Hz. MIG 205 L has a professional wire feeder, a "euro connector" socket, which allows the use of different types of welding torches and output to the gas heater. This device is equipped with an overload thermal protection system, preventing excessive overheating.

MIG 205 L has the possibility of lutowelding. It is an intermediate metal joining process between hard soldering and welding. The connection is obtained only by melting a special binder-solder (copper-based binder SG-CuSi3, SG-CuSn6), without melting the joined metals, while the process technique and method of preparing the edges of the joined objects are similar to that of welding.

Currently, it is very common to use zinc galvanized sheets. In the welding process, evaporating zinc is the cause of the porosity of the welds, because high temperatures formed in this area destroy the protective layer, and the combined elements lose their corrosion resistance. Mechanical removal of zinc before welding, as well as re-application from places where evaporation occurred is a very expensive process. On the other hand, replenishing cavities with "zinc spray" preparations does not sufficiently protect the structure against corrosion. In addition, when welding galvanized sheets, there is a very large emission of zinc vapours harmful to health. All these problems are avoided using MIG/MAG soldering technology.
