TECNO MIG 224 LED is an inverter, synergistic semi-automatic welding machine designed for MIG/MAG, TIG DC LIFT, FLUX and MMA welding.

The equipment is ideal for welding carbon, low-alloy and stainless steels. The welding process can take place both in the shielding of inert gases, active gases or their mixtures, and without the use of gas, using reverse polarity.

⏩ MIG/MAG WELDING

MIG/MAG welding is one of the most commonly used arc welding techniques using melting electrode in the form of welding wire and gas shield. The process involves the production of an electric arc between the wire fed continuously and the welded material, which ensures a stable welding process and high working efficiency.

The MIG (Metal Inert Gas) method uses inert gases such as argon and is mainly intended for welding aluminum and its alloys. The MAG (Metal Active Gas) method is based on active gases – CO₂ or Ar + CO₂ mixtures, used for welding carbon, low-alloy and stainless steel.

The device enables operation in synergic mode MIG/MAG, in which welding parameters are selected automatically based on the selected material, type of gas and wire diameter. The operator retains the possibility of correction of arc voltage, which allows to adjust the characteristics of the weld to the current operating conditions. There are also functions of inductance regulation, wire access (RIN) and wire burning (BBT), which allow control of the start and end of welding and limitation of the number of chipping.

The MIG/MAG method is used in welding of black steels, stainless steels, aluminum alloys and in lutowelding of galvanized sheets, with appropriate selection of welding parameters.

⏩ MMA WELDING

Welding using the MMA method is carried out using encased electrodes and direct current (DC). It is a classic welding method without the use of shielding gas, which enables to work outdoors and in difficult conditions. Welding current adjustment is carried out smoothly from the control panel, allowing precise adjustment of parameters to the diameter of the electrode and the thickness of the material. The welding current range is 20 to 180 A.

The welding process is supported by the functions HOT START, ARC FORCE and ANTISTICK, which facilitate the glow of the electrode, stabilize the welding arc and prevent the electrode from sticking to the material. In addition, the VRD function is available, which reduces idle voltage, increasing the safety of the operator, especially in environments with increased humidity.

Before starting welding, connect the electrode holder and the mass cable to the appropriate sockets, set the required welding current value and turn on the device. The arc is ignited by contact of the electrode with the material, and the stability of the process makes it possible to make durable and repetitive welds.

Thanks to these solutions, the MMA method combines simplicity of operation with assistance functions, ensuring reliable operation without the use of shielding gas.

⏩ SPOT WELDING (SPOT)

Point welding (SPOT) is a mode of operation available in the MIG/MAG method, in which the duration of the weld is controlled automatically by the device. When the SPOT mode is turned on, the welding machine lights up the welding arc and maintains it for a pre-set time, after which it automatically completes the welding process. The point weld time is adjustable from the control panel in the range from 0,0 to 3,0 seconds.

⏩Wire access (RIN)

The wire access allows you to set the length of the welding wire extension before the arc is ignition. This feature improves the repeatability of the welding start and facilitates arc initiation, especially with thin materials.

⏩Burning wire (BBT)

The wire burning function is responsible for increasing the current in the final welding phase. Its task is to prevent the wire from sticking to the material or current tip after welding. The adjustment range is from 0 to 10.

⏩Inductance (IND)

The inductance function allows you to adjust the characteristics of the welding arc in the MIG/MAG method. Reducing the value results in a harder arc, greater heat input and an increased amount of chipping. Increasing the inductance value results in a milder arc, less heating of the material and a reduction in the amount of chipping. The adjustment range is from -10 to +10.
