The Paton ProMIG 250 welding machine is a universal device designed for semi-automatic welding using the MIG/MAG method in protective gas shielding, manual arc welding using the MMA method, as well as welding using the TIG (DC) method in argon shielding.

The 250 PRO 15-2 model is equipped with a wire feeder adapted to handle spools weighing 15 kg and 5 kg, with a 2-roll feeding mechanism. The design of the welding machine provides some of the best protection against external factors available on the market, guaranteeing reliability even in harsh operating conditions.

The device reaches a nominal current of 250 A at 70% of the duty cycle, which allows intensive welding of materials up to 7 mm thick without the risk of overheating. For the convenience and safety of the user, the power source can be separated from the wire feeding mechanism.

A distinctive feature of the PATON™ Professional series is the high-quality, sealed metal wire feeder, as well as the EURO type connector (KZ-2), which allows you to easily replace the handle with any available on the market.

⭐ SOLDERING – REGULATION OF INDUCTANCE

Paton from the Standard and PRO series have the possibility of soldering, thanks to the function of changing the inductance in three degrees. Inductance control allows you to optimize the characteristics of the arc depending on the thickness of the welded element. This function is necessary to change the current flow rate when changing the arc voltage. The thinner the element to be welded using MIG/MAG, the greater the inductance (soft arch – less melting), for thick elements vice versa (hard arch – greater melting).

⭐ PULSE FUNCTION

– PULS in TIG method – full control of heat introduced into the material – great function for welding stainless steel and acid-resistant steel,

– PULS in MMA method – easier transfer of material from the electrode to the welding lake, better quality of the welded joint

– PULS in MIG/MAG method – easier detachment of metal droplets from the end of the electrode wire, the ability to adjust pulsating current parameters. MIG welding with pulsation is useful for welding stainless steels, acid-resistant steels and aluminum alloys. In addition, pulse welding provides better parameters when soldering CuSi3.

⭐ WELDING FUNCTION WITHOUT GAS – SELF-SHIELDING WIRE WELDING

All PATON migomates are suitable for self-shielding wire welding. Such welding, unlike the traditional MIG/MAG welding process, is carried out without the use of shielding gas – however, it requires having a special welding wire. Such a wire produces its own shield, which helps to protect the welding arc. Self-shielding wire adapted to PATON welding machines can be purchased here – 5 kg spools of wire will fit all wire feeders.

• Wire feeder:

  The PRO series uses a separate feeder, which supports spools weighing from 15 to 18 kg. The feeder can be detached from the source, which facilitates welding by other methods, such as MMA or TIG DC. In addition, versions with 2-roll or 4-roll wire feeding mechanism are available.

  In the Standard series, the feeder is integrated with the device, supports only spools up to 5 kg and is always equipped with 2 rolls.
