The 4vets Skin Support veterinary diet is a complete food for dogs recommended for use in the event of dermatological symptoms and adverse reactions from the digestive system. Thanks to the content of Omega-3 and -6, organic zinc and selenium, it supports skin functions and the condition of the coat. Due to the use of a single source of animal protein, it can be used as an elimination diet. Nutrition plays a significant role in the context of the proper condition of the skin and coat of dogs, which reflects its health and condition. Therefore, it is necessary to use a balanced diet, limiting contact with harmful factors and food allergens in order to maintain the proper appearance of the skin and its products (hair, claws).

Recommendations:

Before administering the diet, it is recommended to contact your veterinarian to determine the dose. Use for up to 2 months. The dog should be provided with constant access to fresh drinking water.

Characteristics:

Marine seaweed meal – provides valuable biologically active compounds, is a source of well-absorbed proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins and minerals (K, P, Mg, Ca, Cl, Na, S). In addition, it contains significant amounts of essential amino acids, as well as essential fatty acids.

Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids – high content of these acids in appropriate proportions determines the biochemical control of inflammatory processes. The combination of turkey fat with salmon oil and linseed oil is a guarantee of inhibition of inflammatory processes that are the primary cause of dermatoses.

No grains – the food is devoid of hard-to-digest and often allergenic grains, the source of carbohydrates has been replaced with more digestible and healthier carbohydrate derived from potato starch.

Pumpkin – the nutritional value of this vegetable is very high. This is determined by the content of sugar, protein, fat, pectin, organic acids, β-carotene and vitamins: A, C, B1, B2, B3, B6. Pumpkin also provides minerals – especially potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. Dried beer yeast (source of prebiotics: mannanooligosaccharides and β-glucans) – have a beneficial effect on the intestinal bacterial flora. Yeast has a high biological value also due to the high content of B vitamins. The use of yeast in the nutrition of young dogs is particularly important because it stimulates a wide range of immune responses.

Jukka Mojave – the presence of this ingredient stimulates digestive functions, absorption of nutrients from the digestive tract and stimulates its peristalsis. Added to the diet reduces the production of intestinal gases and the intensity of the smell of feces. In addition, yucca Mojave saponins have antibacterial activity that suppresses protozoan infections formed in the intestines, and polyphenols have anti-inflammatory properties.

Plantago psyllium seeds (Plantago psyllium L.) – combine the properties of highly soluble fiber with a low level of fermentability in the small intestine, have a positive effect on improving intestinal peristalsis. In addition, they have the properties of binding water and creating a gel, thus normalizing the passage of food content.
