The right size of the air transporter for your pet: According to the IATA (International Air Transport Association) guidelines, the size of the transporter must in any case ensure that the animal can stand upright at any time without touching the head or ears to the ceiling of the cage. It must be able to turn around and lie down in a natural position.
- Suitable depth (A + 1/2B): Measure the length of the animal from the nose to the base of the tail plus half the length of the front leg.
- Suitable width (C x 2): Width from shoulder blade to shoulder blade times 2.
- Proper height (D): The height of the animal from the paws to the tip of the skull/ear tips.
The following rule is important: This transport cage has been manufactured in accordance with the current IATA (Live Animal Regulations) guidelines.
Note: Every airline is free to decide on the acceptance of the transporter!
Therefore, we strongly recommend that you make sure that the transport cage you choose complies with airline regulations before purchasing.
Some airlines require the use of screws and cable connectors to make the transport cage even safer. The Feria transport cage housing is equipped with 6 holes for additional closing of the door with cable connectors (not included in the set) protecting against tampering. The upper and lower parts of the Feria transport cage can be additionally secured and firmly connected to each other with the included butterfly bolts and nuts.
