ORU kayaks are made of a single smooth sheet made of two-ply polypropylene. The patented fold pattern transforms the flat sheet into a smooth, durable kayak. When packed, ORU kayaks are the size of a large suitcase. On the water they are both fast and durable with amazing handling.
The hard, abrasion-resistant coating is rated by the manufacturer for 20,000 assembly cycles.
All plastics used in the joints are durable, marine grade and UV-rated. All metal fasteners are marine grade stainless steel.
