Yamaha’s technological amplifier concept, called ToP-ART, uses a direct symmetrical I/O (output) design, with left and right channels arranged in a simple, symmetrical layout for the highest signal clarity. In addition, the lower ART frame (anti-vibration and rigid) and the solid central beam provide very high rigidity and vibration damping.

High-quality parts ensure perfect sound

Specially developed power transformer, custom-made block capacitors, two direct signal paths for loudspeakers, a single-point grounding system, aluminum heat sinks and other high-quality components - guarantee excellent working conditions for a demanding audio signal.

Pure Direct mode for cleaner sound

The task of Pure Direct mode is to shorten the path that the music signal overcomes as much as possible, bypassing the color control, balance and loudness filter. In practice, this means eliminating any signal deterioration and ensures the purest possible sound.

Continuous variable control loudness

On the front panel of the A-S501 there is a new analog loudness control, using electronic volume control to ensure higher sound quality. This solution allows you to get the expected effect of the loudness filter. By separating from the main volume control, it provides a full tonal range at any volume level, equalizing the natural loss of high and low frequencies for human ears during quiet listening sessions.

Gold-plated connectors

Gold-plated connectors guarantee high quality connection, this protects against signal loss. The A-S501 has gold-plated speaker and RCA (CD, Phono) connectors and coaxial connectors.

Digital audio inputs for TV or Blu-ray player

The A-S501 is equipped with a digital audio input – both with an optical and coaxial connector. Both are used to transmit audio - optical from the TV, coaxial from the Blu-ray player. The sound signal remains digital at all times, providing a clear and dynamic sound for any source of entertainment, from sports and other programs to movies and concerts.

Connection for YBA-11 wireless Bluetooth adapter

With the YBA-11, the user can stream music wirelessly from Bluetooth-enabled phones or PCs. With a digital connection and aptX codec, you can enjoy wireless audio in optimal quality. In addition, a special power output, located on the rear panel of the amplifier, allows you to connect the YBA-11, guaranteeing the convenience of using the adapter.

Speaker selector A, B or A+B and speaker connectors for two systems

The amplifier allows you to connect two independent speaker sets in two rooms and allows you to switch between them or transmit a sound signal simultaneously to both systems.

Connection for subwoofer

The A-S501 is equipped with a subwoofer connector. This allows the user to increase the intensity of the bass coming from the amplifier, guaranteeing a more powerful sound and better sound quality.

Mc phono connector

Yamaha designers equipped the amplifier with an input that allows you to connect a turntable with an MM cartridge. Thanks to this, the user can listen not only to CDs, but also to analog recordings.

Rotating selector makes source input selection easier and faster. The luxurious finish and high-quality material from which the knob is made provides a sense of communion with the perfect device. LEDs visually indicate which sound source is active, and the user can easily switch between sources even when the room is dark.

Automatic standby function

The amplifier is equipped with an energy management function that detects the idleness of the device for a long period (approx. 8 hours), even though the amplifier is on. Then there is an automatic switch to standby mode. Even if the user forgets to turn off the A-S501, the device itself will take care of minimizing energy consumption.
