Cardiff AX Trout Area is the most advanced series of trout rods in the Shimano offer. Designed in Japan and built using Hi-Power X technology, these rods are incredibly lightweight, yet very durable and extremely sensitive. When designing the Cardiff AX series, we set ourselves the goal of creating the perfect rod for trout anglers fishing with Trout Area technique. At the same time, we wanted to enable them to use a wide range of lures, not only on commercial ponds, but in literally every possible fishery where it happens to catch fish of this species. The ultra-thin blank offers the best possible work, and in combination with the Softube Top with increased sensitivity, it creates the perfect rod for fishing in the most demanding conditions. The ultra-light blank of Cardiff AX rods was created from a combination of two advanced technologies: Spiral X and Hi-Power X. The blank designed in this way is less susceptible to sprains and is characterized by increased strength, while maintaining low weight. As you would expect from such a high quality rod, it has the best specifics of work. Greater accuracy of casts is important both when the fish in the pond gather in one place, as well as on difficult, wild rivers and streams, where with a high degree of precision you need to feed the bait under the sinkholes and sunken branches. What’s more, blanks in Spiral X technology offer excellent vibration transmission, and equipping them additionally with a Softube Top with increased sensitivity allows you to feel the most cautious trout. High quality and Japanese origin is emphasized by the top armament: Fuji SiC K-Type stainless guides, exclusive Ci4+ carbon reel seat and split cork handle.
