➡ Preparation of the trap:
✓Put the bottom end of the flag from the outside into the upper (larger) hole in the trap and bend it so as to lead it outside through the outlet of the trap.
✓ Apply the trigger tongue (a small leaf-shaped part) to the lower end of the flag so that the plane of the flag and tongue are aligned parallel to each other (in one line).
✓Then pull the end of the flag along with the applied trigger tongue back inside the trap and place its end in the lower (smaller) hole in the trap.
✓After inserting the bushing into the tunnel, the flag of the beacon should be positioned perpendicular to the trap light.
✓After entering the trap, the mole will move the trigger tongue placed inside the trap and turn the flag parallel to the light of the trap.
➡ Usage:
✓ Carefully discover a fragment of the underground corridor through which moles or voles move.
✓Put the trap horizontally into the exposed channel, taking care that the ground does not get into the trap and does not cover the channel.
✓Trap ratchets (metal plates at its ends) should be closed.
✓ Cover the opening with turf, board or flat object so that light and air do not reach the channel.
✓The beacon should be visible above the ground surface. Its rotation signals that an animal has been trapped.
