Medical device PIC VedoColor color electronic thermometer is designed to measure body temperature under the armpit, rectal and oral method.
Method of use of a medical device
Turn on the thermometer with the ON/OFF button. The display control symbol will first appear on the display for two seconds. Then, for two seconds, they will appear in order: the last measurement performed, the 37°C self-calibration indication and the symbol indicating the start of the measurement. An audible signal will indicate that the thermometer has completed the measurement. If the temperature reaches >37,8°C, an alarm signal will be activated.
Measurement under arm (about 3 minutes)
Place the tip of the thermometer under your arm and press your arm against your chest. Make sure that the armpit is dry and that the clothes do not hinder the correct placement of the thermometer tip in the bottom of the armpit.
Rectal measurement (about 1 minute)
Gently insert the thermometer into the anus to a depth of about 15 mm. If any resistance is noted, it should be stopped immediately.
Measurement in the mouth (about 1 minute)
Place the thermometer under your tongue and close your mouth. Breathe through your nose so as not to affect the measurement.
Contraindications and precautions
- In order to correctly measure the temperature, it is necessary to correctly place the thermometer.
- Avoid consuming hot or cold drinks, physical activity, bathing in the bath or shower, and smoking within the 15 minutes preceding the measurement.
- To clean the thermometer, use a soft cloth dipped in alcohol or in a commonly used cleaning agent.
- The device is not waterproof, do not immerse in water.
- Store at room temperature, in a dry place, protect from direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
- Keep out of reach of children.
